In order to achieve one of the goals adopted by the Iraqi League for Bone and Joint Health, which is to increase health awareness among patients and members of society within a series of activities, the Inflammatory Arthritis Special Interest Group in cooperation with the Rheumatology Unit in Baghdad Teaching Hospital, held a distinguished interactive meeting that included a number of ankylosing spondylitis patients.
The meeting included awareness lectures about the disease and its treatment methods given by the specialized doctors working in the unit.
Also, during the meeting, patients' inquiries were answered and their experiences and how they lived with the disease were listened to.
There were also fruitful discussions and suggestions from patients aimed at improving the services provided to them, which will be studied and adopted in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Medical City and Baghdad Teaching Hospital administration.
